Therefore, it is important that pool owners and caretakers to consider the right amount of chlorine put into the water.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes, too much chlorine can cause red eyes or irritation to the skin, too little amount offers insufficient level of protection against germs in the water.<\/p>\n<p>Then, <em>how can we get it right ? We have the answer for you.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-5088 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.poolspa.co.th\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/poolspa-chlorine-test-kit.jpg\" alt=\"Chlorine Test Kit\" width=\"1098\" height=\"826\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Standard chlorine (CL) value in swimming pools<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>For residential pools : 1.0 PPM<\/li>\n<li>For commercial pools :\u00a0 1.5 &#8211; 2.0 PPM<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Standard pH in the pool<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The optimum pH for swimming pool is 7.4 (or between 7.2 &#8211; 7.6).<\/li>\n<li>if the pH is below 7 the water is acid<\/li>\n<li>If the pH is above 7, the water is alkaline<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Adding Chlorine into your pool<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-5060 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.poolspa.co.th\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/poolspa-chroline-001-1.jpg\" alt=\"\u0e01\u0e32\u0e23\u0e40\u0e15\u0e34\u0e21\u0e04\u0e25\u0e2d\u0e23\u0e35\u0e19\" width=\"1301\" height=\"554\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The chlorine should be measured before adding it into the pool. This must be done in the evening as the high temperatures during daytime would cause chlorine to evaporate quickly.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.poolspa.co.th\/en\/product-category\/pool-chemicals\">&#8220;NISSAN&#8221; T.C.C.A. 90 (90% chlorine)<\/a>, should be added night at a ratio of 300 grams per 100 cubic water, to get the chlorine value of about 1.0 &#8211; 1.5 ppm. When measured in the morning, make sure that the chlorine value is higher than 1.0 ppm.\u00a0 at 10:00 am every morning. Add 4-5 kilograms of swimming pool salt per 1 cubic meter of water. For example, if the pool or tank contains 150-cubic meters of water, then 150 x 4 = 600 kilograms. A bag of swimming pool salt weighs 25 kilograms, then you should use 24 bags of salt and leave it in the pool to dissolve before running the system.<\/p>\n<p>* Note: Salt content depends on the specifications of each product brand.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Adjusting pH values for the pool<\/h2>\n<blockquote><p><em>The standard pH for a common pool should be pH = 7.4 or between 7.2 -7.6.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h3>pH lower than 7.2 (acidic)<\/h3>\n<p>will cause chlorine to dissolve rapidly and cause irritation to the eyes, especially in chlorinated pools. (TCCNA90)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Solution: Use 1 kilogram of soda ash per 100 cubic meters of water in the pool (depending on acidity level. If the water is very acidic, such as pH 6.0 &#8211; 6.8, more soda ash must be added.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>pH higher than 7.6 (alkaline)<\/h3>\n<p>will result in poorer chlorine performance, causing sediment, water turbidity and eye irritation, especially in salt-water pools.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Solution: Use 1 liter of hydrochloric acid (HCl) or (NaHSO4) per 100 cubic meters of water in the pool (depending on the level of alkalinity. If the water is very alkaline, such as pH 7.6 &#8211; 8.0, more amount of hydrochloric acid must be used.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-5017
